Interactive Tours: Adding Interactive Tour Stops

This article will walk you through the process of adding Tour Stops to your Interactive Tour, helping you create engaging, informative, and visually appealing experiences that highlight the points of interest, stories, and landmarks that make your community special.

Steps to Add Interactive Tour Stops:

1. Click Edit Campaign

2. Select Interactive Tour Stops from the Side Panel

3. Click Add Tour Stop

While in the Campaign Editor select Interactive Tour Stops from the side panel. Then click Add Tour Stop on the option grid top right corner. This will open the Add Tour Stop side panel.

4. Enter the Following Tour Stop Details

Title:
Assign a clear and recognizable title to your Tour Stop, reflecting the location or theme (e.g., Historic Town Hall or Community Mural). A descriptive title helps visitors easily identify and navigate each stop on your tour.

Type:

Select the type that best describes your Tour Stop, such as Historical Marker. This helps participants understand the nature of the stop at a glance.

Description:
Provide a detailed overview of the Tour Stop, highlighting what makes it special, any historical or cultural significance, and what visitors can expect to experience. Clear and engaging descriptions help bring the tour to life and inspire exploration.

Location Name:
Enter the name of the location for this stop.

Address or Latitude + Longitude:

Enter the physical address or the latitude and longitude coordinates for the stop. This ensures the location appears correctly on the interactive map and helps visitors navigate your tour with ease.

Click to Add Photos:
Upload photos that showcase your Tour Stop — such as images of landmarks, public art, scenic views, or notable features. Visuals help participants understand what to expect and spark excitement to explore each stop.

Add Documents:
Click blue “Add Documents” button to activate document uploader to add any necessary documents (PDFs, word documents, etc.) that would be helpful to viewers.

Attach QR Plaque:

If you purchased QR plaques to highlight your Tour Stops, link them here. QR plaques provide visitors with quick access to multimedia content, stories, or additional information at each location. If you haven’t purchased plaques, this field can remain blank.

Click here to learn how QR plaques can bring your Interactive Tour to life, providing visitors with easy access to stories, details, and multimedia that enrich each stop!

Visibility:
Select Public to ensure the item is visible to all potential viewers. If you want to limit visibility to SeeMyLegacy users only, choose Private instead.

5. Save Your Tour Stop

Once you have filled in your details add your Tour Stop by hitting Save. After adding all of your Tour Stops you can then save your Interactive Tour Campaign.

You can now view your newly created Tour Stop within your Campaign, where your community members will be able to see and interact with it.
