When running registration-based campaigns, SeeMyLegacy helps you keep your setup clean and accurate by automatically managing any registration option that has a registration/end date assigned. These automated actions prevent late registrations and give you timely visibility into when an option is about to close.
This automation only applies to registration options with a date set.
Automatic Email to Notification Recipients
For any registration option with an assigned registration date, the Notification Recipient for the campaign will receive an automatic reminder email one day before the registration is set to close.
- Email is sent around 12:00 PM (noon) EST, one day prior.
- The message notifies your team that the registration option will end tomorrow and will be unposted the following day.
Example
- Registration end date: 12/11/2025

Reminder email sent: 12/10/2025 at approximately 12:00 PM EST
- Email explains the option will end on 12/11 and unpost on 12/12.
This gives you time to prepare, promote final sign-ups, or adjust the option if needed.
When the Registration Option Closes
After the registration end date passes, SeeMyLegacy automatically unposts and marks the option as private.
- Unposting occurs at approximately 3:00 AM EST on the day after the end date.
- The option stays active through the entire end date, allowing for any day-of registrations.
- Once unposted, it is no longer visible for new participants.
Example
- End date: 12/11/2025
- Active through: 11:59 PM local time on 12/11
- Automatic unposting: 3:00 AM EST on 12/12/2025
This timing ensures consistency across all U.S. time zones and cleanly closes out registrations.
Options without a date will not trigger these notifications and must be closed manually.
