Ticket Options are the individual tiers your community can purchase or reserve — think VIP, General Admission, or free event entry. You can create as many as you need, each with its own price, quantity, and details.
💡 You can offer a mix of free and paid ticket options on the same campaign — perfect for events with multiple experience levels.
Steps to Add a Ticket Option
1. Click Edit Campaign
From your Ticketing Campaign page, click Edit Campaign in the top navigation.
2. Select Ticket Options from the Campaign Editor

3. Click Add Ticket Option
4. Fill In Your Ticket Option Details
Title: Name your ticket tier — e.g., "VIP Reserved," "Balcony Seating," or “General Admission.”
Description: Describe what's included with this ticket. What perks does the buyer get? What should they know before arriving?
Event Dates: Choose Single Day Event or Multi Day Event. Set the date, start/end time, and time zone for this ticket option.
Price Per Ticket: Toggle between Set Price to enter a dollar amount, or Free Ticket for complimentary admission. No need to enter $0 — just hit the Free Ticket toggle and you're set.

💡 For paid tickets, SeeMyLegacy automatically collects online payments — no extra setup needed. Ticket fees apply to all paid purchases. You can always increase your ticket price to cover the fees and keep your full amount. See our Fees article for the full breakdown.
💡 Sales tax note: SeeMyLegacy doesn't automate tax collection. If your event requires it, factor the tax into your ticket price and note it in the ticket description. Not sure if your event is subject to sales tax? Check your state or local regulations for your event type and organization.
Number of Available Tickets: Enter a specific quantity, or check Unlimited quantity if there is no cap.
Participant Form: Choose Standard Form for a simple checkout experience, or Custom Form to collect additional info from ticket buyers. See our Custom Forms article to learn more.
The Standard Ticket Form looks like this:

Visibility: Set to Public so buyers can see and purchase this option, or Private to hide it from the public page.
5. Save Your Ticket Option

Hit Save. Your new ticket option will appear on your campaign page immediately, showing the title, price, and remaining quantity to your community.
Editing, Reordering, or Removing Ticket Options

Back in the Ticket Options section of your campaign editor, you can edit, reorder, or remove any ticket tier at any time.
💡 Updating a ticket option won't affect purchases that have already been made.
Closing Ticket Sales

Need to stop selling a specific ticket tier? You can close any ticket option at any time — this prevents any future purchases or reservations on that option while leaving all existing purchases intact.
To close ticket sales, open the ticket option in your campaign editor and select Close Ticket Sales at the bottom of the panel.
💡 Closing ticket sales on an option does not delete it or affect anyone who has already purchased. It simply stops new purchases from coming in.
