This article will guide you through the process of adding Donation Options to your Fundraiser Campaigns, helping you create meaningful ways for individuals, businesses, and community members to contribute and support your cause.
Steps to Add Donation Options:
1. Click Edit Campaign
2. Select Donation Options from the Side Panel
3. Click Add Donation Option
While in the Campaign Editor select Memorial Option from the side panel. Then click Add Memorial Option on the option grid top right corner. This will open the Add Memorial Option side panel.
4. Enter the Following Donation Option Details
Title:
Assign a clear and recognizable title to the Donation Option, typically reflecting the opportunity being offered (e.g., Community Supporter or Gold Supporter).
Description:
Provide a detailed explanation of the Donation Option, outlining what contributors will receive, how their donation will be used, and the impact it will have. Clear, engaging descriptions help attract interest and encourage participation in your campaign.
Location Name:
If applicable, enter a location name for the fundraiser or event. This is optional and can remain blank if not needed.
Price + Quantity:
Enter the cost or suggested donation amount for the Donation Option and specify how many opportunities or items are available at this level.
Accept Online Payment:
Enable this option if you would like to collect payments for your Fundraiser Program through SeeMyLegacy
Participant Form:
Choose the option that works best for you — select our Standard Form for quick setup, or a Custom Form for a more personalized experience. Click here to learn more about both form types.
Click to Add Photos:
Upload photos that showcase your fundraiser — such as previous events, campaign activities, or items being offered — along with visuals that help participants understand the impact of their contribution.
Add Documents:
Click blue “Add Documents” button to activate document uploader to add any necessary documents (PDFs, word documents, etc.) that would be helpful to sponsors.
Visibility:
Select Public to ensure the item is visible to all potential donors. If you want to limit visibility to SeeMyLegacy users only, choose Private instead.
5. Save Your Option
Once you have filled in your details add your Donation Option by hitting Save. After adding all of your Donation Options you can then save your Fundraiser Campaign.
You can now view your newly created Donation Option within your Campaign, where your community members will be able to see and interact with it.
