Once an item is purchased that will include a personalized digital story with a QR Plaque, you will need to activate the QR Plaque, add the participant as a contributor and Order and Print the plaque. This allows them to start creating and personalizing their digital story. Follow the steps below to complete the activation process.
QR Plaques, paired with Digital Stories, allow your community or donors to create a lasting physical presence and share a digital story. Below are the steps to customize the QR Plaque and begin creating the Digital Story.
Step 1: Activating Plaque and Adding Contributors
The first step to activating a plaque is securely attaching it to the purchased item and assigning a contributor. Once added, the contributor can begin crafting their digital story.

1. Click Manage > Plaques

2. Select Activate QR Plaque Next to the Plaque You Would Like to Activate

3. Select an Item to Connect it to a QR Plaque by Searching by Item Number or Name

4. Add Contributor by Inputting Name and Email and Clicking Add
Contributor will then receive an automatic email inviting them to the platform from app@seemylegacy.com

🚨 Contributor Didn’t Receive the Invitation Email?
If the contributor hasn’t received their invitation email, please ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
Still no email? You can direct them to this sign-up page, where they can register using the same email address you sent the invite to. This will allow them to access their account and start contributing to their story.

Step 2: Ordering and Printing Finalized QR Plaque
Once a contributor is finished customizing their digital story, you will need to Order and Print the finalized QR Plaque within your Community Profile. The contributor will not have access to do this.Â

2. Toggle to In-Use QR Plaque > Customize QR Plaque

3. Click Order and Print to Notify SeeMyLegacy Team That Plaque is Ready
- Proof will be sent to you for review before plaque is printed

⚠️ Important Note:
All required fields must be completed before submission. If a contributor leaves the First Line, Plaque Message, or Last Line blank, you have two options:
- Fill in the missing details on their behalf.
- Notify the contributor that they need to log back in and complete their customization.
Incomplete submissions cannot be processed, so ensure all required information is provided before finalizing.
